I cannea say I've heard of any scripts and such that do such a thing, but there are certain rules that you're supposed to apply so that they can be easily printed. However, very very few people actually follow those guidelines, even large, important sites.
Why? Screws up design.
Now, I don't want to discourage you or nothing, I'm just laying down the facts. The other idea behind unprintable pages is that users will have to KEEP COMING BACK for the info.
"ah ha!"
If you really feel you need to make the article available to all, you should probably make it available in pdf format at the best, or word (.doc) format. Lots of people have that, but not everyone. The pdf plugin can be downloaded from adobe.com
righto!
