Some of you may have noticed the "Member Spotlight" link to the lower left. Sort of a "UBB of the Month", we are now looking for examples of excellence in the internet world of ubb's. If you feel your site has that perfect blend of modifications, appropriate color scheme, great integration with the rest of your site, and a certain "je nais sais quoi", please submit it to our showcase ... if you have already submitted in the past, please re-submit and let us know you would like to be included... One top site will be highlighted monthly, with the honored site being allowed to sport a special "UBB DevZone" badge. Every six months a grand prize of a year's license (for a licensed version) will be awarded to one of the previous six month's honoree's... so get your submissions in... we'll be choosing one on the 15th of each month with a "spotlight" posted on the 25th of each month. This will consist of an interview with the webmaster, screen shots of their site, and an informative "how-to" so you can learn some secrets of the trade. Good luck, ------------------ Allen

It's now the 10th, only 5 more shopping days until the first judging of UBBDev.com's inaugural "Member Spotlight" event. Some of you have had questions, and we of course had answers... here's one that has come up: Thank you for asking... that's a good question, one we here at ubbdev.com have wrestled with in building this site (and one we are still working on). The judges will consist of the moderators, a couple of which use NS, so it should at least be viewable in NS, but rechecking it in NS will help you score a few more points with them... You have to keep in mind, the point of this is to highlight excellence in design, user experience, site integration, style, and use of modifications to enhance all of the above. This doesn't mean perfection (tho we would like to see it ourselves), but it does mean much better than average... it will definitely be a learning experience for all involved, as well as everyone who reads the interviews posted later. Those sites who reach for that higher rung of excellence, will take into consideration NS as well as IE users, since these do make up more than 90-95% of the users out there.... good luck. ------------------ Allen - http://www.stand318.com
