I posted this in "single point login." But since that thread is a year old, I thought I would start a fresh one also.
Our customer's website requires a login, and we'd like to have that login set the cookie so that they would not also need to login to UBB.
I've tried creating the cookie directly, but it is finicky, and would be subject to failure in future versions.
It seems for UBB staff or Perl hacker this should not be too hard:
ubb_set_login_cookies.cgi?username=ME&password=PW-ENCRYPTED&pubname=MYNAME
We have already added an ASP hack that adds the user and login to the UBB member list by appending to the text files.
