Microsoft Hits Patches -- Free?
Just a few months after the release of Windows XP, microsoft hits the web with several patches including more levels for the labyrinth, a game in Microsoft's Plus XP pack, IE5.5 and 6 security update (version 6, 5.5 version here), and Office XP Service Pack 1 to name a few goodies. Not only that, Windows Update had some more patches released and drivers updated.

Viruses
A few weeks after the "Goner" worm, we see a gem known as "W32.Gokar.A@mm". Read the story here. And update them antivirus programs, kiddies!

A Seperate Download from Redmond

Semiconductor Mumbo Jumbo
What is with Processors these days? Recently AMD released it's Athlon XP (Palomino) processor, a very nice update to the Athlon Thunderbird and performs better at that. People will spend $400 on a 2.0GHz pentium 4 to say they have it instead of $200 on an Athlon XP 1900+ which performs as well if not better? And Intel recently announced its Mobile Pentium 4 Processor, which runs at 1.6GHz and 1.7GHz -- faster than any other mobile chip. Let's watch AMD kick butt afterwhich. Also, AMD will kick butt releasing its 2000+ processor the day Intel releases it's 2.2GHz Pentium 4. Surely that'll prove to be worth it. Wow, alot in the semiconductor industry, eh?

[TechTV]

Gaming
Sony has gone after a mod-chip company. Why? Who knows. A mod chip has legit purposes like playing imported games. Full Story

Rocket Drive - Solid State Harddrives
I love this. If it wasn't so expensive i'd buy two or so. Info
